MODA@MIHAS 2024: Modest Fashion Shines on the Global Stage at the World’s Largest Halal Exhibition

The Malaysian Official Designers’ Association (MODA) hosted the Malaysia Modest Fashion Show at the Malaysia

International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) 2024, held at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur. This milestone event in modest fashion brought together a fusion of tradition and innovation under the theme “Global Influence, Defining Style.”

As the world’s largest halal trade exhibition, MIHAS is renowned for its global impact, and this year’s 20th edition further showcased the growing influence of modest fashion on the international stage. As the official strategic partner for the modest fashion segment, MODA played a pivotal role in highlighting both Malaysian and international designers.

The showcase celebrated the creativity and innovation of designers from Malaysia and beyond while emphasizing the global importance of modest fashion.

Designers from Malaysia, Indonesia, Morocco, and Dubai unveiled exclusive 8-piece collections, blending traditional motifs with contemporary designs. Featured designers included MODA Members ~ Yani Bakhtiar, Arlina Ayou by Arlina Amdan, bycafia.co by Camila Lutfiah, LOAYO by Loubna Ayouche, and CASALWA by Datin Sharifah Salwa. Designers from Indonesia—DS Modest by Bagus Nandang, Wardatuttiflah x Mila Zali, MouCa X Langgam Batik by Moureen & Efi Amroeni, and Ayesh by Rizky Salva—graced the runway alongside Mg by Marwa Ghassan and WoW by Rahaf from Dubai.
